Angela, I can relate to so much of what you said! I grew up in Providence in the 50's. My best friend was/is Italian and her whole family "adopted" me. Her father used to say he had three Italian daughters and one French! I still go back to visit her and her family every year if I can. Keep on writing. The world needs stories like yours. Paula
